Hi,

I have two modded xboxes that I want to network together for LAN playing on two TV's

They are both running xbmc (different versions), they also have different mod chips.

I have just tried to join the two together with a cross over cable.
The xboxes connect to my laptop ok, so I know the cables work.
What should the correct settings be for both the xboxes.
I have one as 192.168.0.1 and the other as 192.168.0.2. The default gateway is opposite on each box.

This is how the laptop is connected when plugged in.

I have never played over LAN before so am not sure if they are seeing each other or not.
I know some games do not accept LAN play. So can someone tell me a game that does and some intructions on how to set it up so I can test it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

u don't need to do anything with ip settings in XBMC to play games on a LAN .. just plug in the crossover cable between the 2 xboxs , load the game, go to system link and play .. system link gaming is not ip based traffic ..

go here .. www.teamxlink.co.uk/?go=games .. for a complete list of all available xbox system link games ..

this section of the forum is for xlink kai , which you should look into as well as it lets you play xbox system link games over the internet for free, modded or not :]
