so i thought that i would introduce myself, my name is justin and i am a complete noob to the whole modding world, i recently bought a xbox v1.0 and it has a x-chip in it, well it was fine for a couple of days and i went to turn it on the other night and it booted up twice and then on the third time stayed on but no picture on the screen, so i tore the xbox apart and took the x-chip out because it is solderless, and it booted up fine with a picture and it goes straight to the screen saying that the xbox needs service. can anybody tell me what is wrong and how to fix it please? thanks in advance

Just remember. Some V1.0 Boxes do not display an error number. Mine doesn't. But I have a box I picked for my brother that displays the error number and it's a V1.0 as well.

if you havnt fixed it yet ,try moving the xchip up and down wiggle a little while its the xbox is on, you need ot see the constent red light from the chip , if its not on you get the screen, it happened to me once when i dropped the box, then i made sure the chip was seated all the way and nothing till i moved it up alittle bit, and saw the light come back on,,,,good luck, if that fails let me know ill help
