All of a sudden half of my backups are not working. I tried re-flashing the Hitachi with Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth_Rev2 and they work for about 5 minutes then dirty Disc error. I'm using Xbox backup creator and have SH-D162C to extract the game and my Pioneer 111D to burn them onto Verb's +R-DL. Why do some gaems work and now others? Does this have something to do with the updates? Can i delete the updates? Not sure what to do from here. any suggestions?
Thnx for any help i can get.

Could be a bad lens. I have lasers for both Hitachi and samsung drives if it is infact that.
twobells

Out of interest is it the newer backups that don't boot?

The games that do it the most are, Full Auto, Over-G, Need for Speed Carbon. I put the game in and let it run the demo for a half hour. It boots up then when i go back to the tv i have a Dirty disc error. when i shut it down and turn it back on, it says unplayable disc.

Its not the backups or the mod causing fault, ITS YOUR CRAPPY 360! I had the same issue with my modded hitachi v59, but only with need for speed carbon though. I figured it wasnt a big deal cause it was only the one game. But one night after i got dirty disk error i decided to keep trying a few times in a row , having it freeze a couple more times then finally not turning on and giving the dreaded 3 red lights error. So yesterday i bought another 360 and decided not to mod it for a few days just to make sure it was running properly. i played need for speed for no more then three hours and guess what DIRTY DISK ERROR. So it is more than clear that the 360 is a peice of crap and will continue to be a piece of crap untill they put out the next version of it with differnt hardware. Forgot to mention that my new drive is a sammy ms28
