Speaking to Famitsu, video game legend and president of Mistwalker game studio Hironobu Sakaguchi revealed to the magazine that work is already underway on a sequel to Blue Dragon, which is scheduled for release in Japan next month and overseas in 2007.

Sakaguchi also revealed that Blue Dragon will ship in three discs and offer between 40 and 50 hours of gameplay if you play side quests. The creator himself managed to finish the game in 35 hours without taking optional missions.

The creator of the original Final Fantasy series also confirmed that Blue Dragon will get post-release content, which will be released for free and before next Spring.

Stay tuned. We'll have more on Blue Dragon as more info becomes available.

I wonder why they are going with three discs on Blue Dragon. And i wonder if it will still be $50-$60.

Why? He says that without doing compression the games takes up 30GB with I guess its 21GB then since the 3 discs.
This was to be expected xbox360 will probably see all its rpg doing the old psx multi disc thing.

I wonder what kind of counter arguments your gonna hear now that x360 got its first, should have been on hd-dvd, title.

Personally I would rather pay $200 extra to have it on 1 disc ... not.
