Hi,

I have backed up my DVDs to my Xbox using DVD Shrink on my PC and then transfering the VOB/ISO files to my Xbox.

The Xbox plays the VOB file for the movie (~3Gb) fine until about half way thru at which point in the movie the Xbox freezes.

Any ideas why this might be the case?

Hope it's not a stupid question. It's all new to me.

It could be due to the size of the file
it might freeze round the 2GB file barrier. ( > half way along the movie )

Try splitting the vob in to 1GB chunks ( setting in DVDShrink )
or shrink the vob to below 2GB

or convert to a more compressed format like divx or xvid
