Hi
I have a 360 with samsung sht 193 with nme 1.1 chip installed.
I have samsung schd 162 with kreon firm installed.
i have tried burning on a pioneer dvr 110d and a brand new sony dru 810a i just bought.
i have tried backing up with 8 disc's when i install in 360 i get a message PLEASE INSERT DISC IN A XBOX 360 CONCOLE. all my back up's say this.
this is what i did
create iso from an original game:
Start Schtrom
Insert XBox-360 game into the Samsung SH-D16x drive
In the first pulldownmenu select your Samsung drive (TSSTcorp....)
Below enter the path where you want to save the image to.
let the TASK field stay at default: whole disc (stealth xtreme 3.0)
click EXTRACT using your left mousebutton
Reading the complete game takes less than 10 minutes.
Schtrom creates a file called IMAGE1.000 and a file called IMAGE1.dvd
No need to take care of the Securitysector here because Schtrom extracts it in one go
and saves it within your IMAGE1.000 file.
3) make ISO compatible to the NME-360 chip aka "convert xtreme image to nme format":
Start the NME aSSociat0r.
Select the ISO File (IMAGE1.000)
activate "Extract SecuritySector from Extreme ISO file"
Hit "CREATE" button
Your ISO is now being patched. this takes just 2 seconds.
After patching it must be exactly 7.705.657.344 Bytes of size. (in KB it is 7.525.056)
This step should also be performed in case you have legally downloaded an Xtreme
Image from the internet
4) Burn the ISO
-If you have NME-360 v1.1 (no matter if Hitachi or Samsung)
Open CloneCD
Select "Write Image to CD/DVD"
Select your IMAGE1.dvd file created by Schtrom in Step 2)
insert DVD+RDL Media
Hit Continue to burn the game
i used verbatin and memorex same message. i can afford to keep killing disc's
i burn in dvd + R DL
ISO size 7,705,657,344.
lo data 1,913,760
I have no idea on what to try next. can anyone please offer me some advise please.
thanks
This is the Only thing I can think of!
If using Kreon's v0.81 Firmware
ReadMe Files States "CloneCD is no longer recommended for burning, as some issues have been reported, that can cause a game to fail from booting."
This is part of the the Kreon's v0.81 Read Me file:
October 4th 2006
***************************************************************************
* XBOX 360 enabled alternative FW for the Samsung SH-D162C drive - V0.81 *
***************************************************************************
The time has come for a small update. A few bugs/problems was identified in the V0.80 release, so a lot of effort has gone into testing
V0.81 in order to provide a more stable and reliable experience.
Changes/fixes in this release..
--------------------------------
Fixed: Wrong disc size was reported following a SS extraction when in 'lock' mode.
Fixed: SS extraction for XBOX game discs didn't work as expected, causing incorrect data in response table.
Added: The speed of the drive is set to 6x prior to extracting SS data just like the TS-H943 does 5x.
Added: A sense error 03/11/00 (Media Error - Read Error) will now be reported, if an unrecoverable read error occurs during SS extraction.
Fixed: A few other minor fixes to improve overall performance an reliability.
Creating a backup ..
---------------------------------
This release of the firmware has been optimized for use with applications like Xbox Backup Creator and Schtrom 360 extract in mind. The latest
fixes/additions are based on hours of testing using the latest beta builds of those applications, so the traditional isobuster ripping method
is no longer recommended. Both applications reduces the backup process to something as simple as pressing a button and then burning the image
that was created.
CloneCD is no longer recommended for burning, as some issues have been reported, that can cause a game to fail from booting. As an alternative ImgBurn is a free and simple to use application that does the job every time.
This Only applies if Your SH-D162C Has Kreon's v0.81 Firmware
If you are using the Older Version FW on the 162C I'm at a loss?
Good Luck
