Hi

I recently softmodded an xbox using the Splinter Cell hack, and all seemed to go well, and I installed a 200gb hard drive into it.

Now though, I am not sure what has happened, as when the xbox boots up it displays an Error 16 code (clock/dash error).

I am now unable to access the Auto Installer DVD I used to softmod it originally, and also am unable to boot the original Splinter Cell disk - or any other disk.

I have been searching these forums for some help, and am still unsure as to my best option.

I ensured to backup the eeprom onto my pc, and also have the original C and E drives there.

Also have access to a modchipped xbox with a 250gb hard drive.

Is there anyway of rescuing the softmodded xbox using the working chipped box?

Advice appreciated

Halo X3box
the HDD probably has no dash on it witch means you cant access anything. sad.gif

If you have the eeprom to the box (as you said you did on the PC) then you can either use XBOXHDM to rebuild/fix the drive. Or you can flash the softmodded boxs eeprom to the modchipped box and fix the HDD in the modchipped box (via bootdisc such as AID). Be careful and read up on flashing the eeprom and note eeprom versions when your flashing, if you flash an incompatible version eeprom to the box it can be a pain to fix.

Once your using the modchip if you go that route you could use CASH to put Krayzies Ndure v1.1.1 on there and if you deleted the dash again you would be in an easier spot to fix it. If your interested in that route then click the link in my signature and read post #11. Since the eeprom being flashed would the softmodded box's eeprom then your backed-up eeprom will be the correct eeprom.
