How to sign up for the 'Shadowrun' Beta

7. Complete and submit the short questionnaire. Please enter MAJOR1 for the beta code when asked at the beginning of the questionnaire.
8. If you are not redirected immediately to the Shadowrun Beta Selection homepage after completing the questionnaire, click the My Participations link on the left hand navigation bar and then click the Shadowrun program link. This will redirect you to the Shadowrun Beta Selection Homepage.
9. Once you are on the Shadowrun Beta Selection Homepage, you will need to complete the rest of the registration process by signing up for the forums by clicking the Join the Forums button then click the Welcome to the Official Shadowrun Community Forum Sign In button.
10. Wait patiently for us to contact you with further instructions. Check back at http://connect.microsoft.com for further beta announcements.

i get an error after filling out my info. here is the error

EDIT: it seems it doesnt work right with FireFox. use IE instead

Yeah I just read that quote too. I met all the "high end" requirements so now it's only a matter of being chosen or not.

they really need to do something about the firefox incompatibility. also, it seems that if you're accepted the beta will be downloaded from Marketplace with a key they will send you.

It allowed me to register in firefox, it just gave me the error when it tried to redirect me to the shadowrun registration, so I just finished it off in IE.

I got the error too, but when I went to "My participation" I was there, active and all signed up....

You guys should, after shadworun, sign up for the MS game studios beta test.....wish I would have known about this a long time ago, I coulda been testing Gears or something...rock on hope they pick me!

All signed up and ready to go. There are about 9,000 people on that forum at the moment.

*EDIT* Sign up to beta test for MS Game Studios ended on October 1st.

All done - had to use Safari. Silly Mac.

Hopefully, they will include some RPG elements like purchasing skills, attributes, cyberware, equipment, etc... If this is just a straight up shooter just set in the Shadowrun universe - I'm not going to like this one.
