I've been looking into modding my GC, and I've come up with a few questions.

Which chip is superior? The Qoob pro or the Viper Extreme? Looking at the bios features and such, they look almost identical. Is one easier to install?

Which case is better, the IcedCube or the team viper one? Does this change with which chip I use?

I've been reading reviews, but none of the ones I've found seem to actually make a comparison.

Thanks for the help!

With the Qoob, you can force progressive scan on some games that normally don't run in 480p.

As far as installation, the viper GC seems a bit easier to install. 1 less solder point. Also with the viper all solder points are in almost the same spot. The solder spots on the Qoob are a bit more scattered around.
Go to mod-chip.com, go to the gamecube section, and you can get a full installation guide for each
