Hey Guys

ive been reading everywhere that the hd-dvd player on the xbox 360 can playback .264 video.

Ive tried burning some of these files to disc but to no success, does this actually work or do i still need to rename the file or just give up altogether??

The add on drive supports H.264, MPEG-2, VC1. I don't own it but I do have a Toshiba HD-A1 player. I'm assuming the add on works like the stand alones for playback. In order to play the H.264 file you'd probably need to author a disc in hd dvd format. I've done this with MPEG-2 files to make a few demo discs. There is a guide on the AVS forum here. As of right now though, I don't know of any software that will let you author an hd dvd on standard dvds in h.264 format.
