Hi I have a linksys wrt54gx (actually its belkin F5D8230 but they are the same under the skin and its running the wrt54gx firmware) I understand that the wrt family of linksys routers supports loading xlink to the firmware, I just cant find any tuts about it or much information on it (just some links to a website that no longer exist). If any one could confirm that it will run on my router and where to get help that would be great since I have a wireless PC and its a pain to connect it just to xlink.

Thanks,

OK found my answer on google, the GX is the only one of the wrt family that isnt supported sad.gif Well I guess I will sell my belkin pre n and buy the lesser GS, looks like I should be able to break even on ebay. I only brought the pre-n for the wireless intranet speed that never really happened anyways.

Sorry to have bothered everyone.

If you have not traded out your pre-n my suggestion is not to, really I had xlink running on my wrt54g and well it is really unstable, Xlink kept going down and I had to restart it often. I just continue to run xlink on my main pc it is never turned off anyway.

im using DD-WRT for my firmware and it has kai built in. tons of other features too.

i have yet to get it working properly, but thats likely due to my network setup. my linksys connects wirelessly to another router (which hosts the internet connection). xbox is connected to the linksys, i see games in xbmc, but cant play. tracking down the issue now
