i got it all solderd up and ready to go on the hope my moniter had sync on green.
after i pluged it all up and powerd on the 360 i noticed a small problem well a big problem actually.
all coulers are preasent and accounted for only some more than other ie green
i have reds and blues in small amounts but everything else is green

any help is appreaciated

Component (YPbPr) and VGA (RGB) are NOT the same signal. A "Component to VGA" adapter is usually a somewhat expensive external converting box, not just something that you make at home soldering wires together.
Unless you mean you added the VGA cable to the plug itself, soldering to the individual pins on the AV plug, in which case you have either mixed up some wires, shorted some wires, or have had some solder connections come loose.

Wow, I'd love to see how you made your own cable. Either way, sure way to know if the problem lies within your cable, is get out a multimeter and make sure the signals connect on both ends (including any grounding). Chances are you red and blue not connecting well, that you forgot about a certain connection, or that you poorly sheilded everything but your green signal. Remember, the longer a wire is, the longer the signal has to travel, so you want to do anything you can to cut down on interfearance and noise.
