Alright, i've read almost everything i could and still I'm having nothing but problems making backups.

firmware: maximus-garyopa 2.3 stealth v2 (i could not get GoW original to even boot on the opa xtreme hitatchi 7 in 1, so changed to this)
discs: only verbatim, and the stack is getting smaller all the time
drive: hitatchi 47

i was using T2 special edition for the disc swap method, but it kept causing an error with GoW, so i switched over to Sin City and no error with a layout of:

now with GoW, i was having issues with getSS, so i grabbed a couple different ones of the web, both of which got me to a dirty disc error. where am i going wrong? wxRipper is saying i'm error free, i'm using the good discs, and other than SS, i should be good. what's not right here? where am i off track? any help would help because this is starting to get expensive to backup
