I made some backups with an LG DL drive on some data write titaniums. i burnt them with CloneCD at 2.4x. Ive made 6 games now, the first game worked but froze ingame, then a couple of hours later i tried the same disk again and it wouldnt even load atall, it got dirty disk error before the game loaded. the second i tried worked perfect, but then i turned it off to go to collage, i turned it on when i got back and then this game also got dirty disk on the load up screen. the third, fourth and fifth games all work perfect as of yet. the 6'th game gets unreadable disk and has never worked.

has anybody got any ideas to my problems?

Im going to do Modo's pot calibration tomorow to see if that works but if anybody knows what my problem is im really gratefull.

please help!!!!!!! Thanks

You could try reburning them ad seeing if that works. But i would suggest trying Verbatim media before trying the pot tweak, ALOT safer. Verbatim's are top of the line for backups and give the least amount of problems. Leave the pot tweak as a last resort.

thanks for that reply its MUCH apreciated.

ok i might wait and see if its the disks that are the problem. Ive got a friend thats got an unkle who uses the data write disks and all of his works. Its just weird, all of my disks worked the first time i put them in, its just when i turn my xbox off and turn it back on they dont work, two disks get dirty disk error, 2 load but then get dirty disk one gets unreadable and onc still works perfect. I even completed the first levels on GOW, turned my xbox off, turned it back on a couple of hours later and it wont even load.

my question now is how can i be sure that its the disks and not the data on my pc that im burning, would it be better to rip the game once more useing dvd decryptor instead?

Thanks

The rip method you used and any errors during ripping would help

I burned the image with CloneCD with no errors on to DataWrite Titaniums at 2 - 2.4x useing a DVDRAM GSA-4167B with firmware DL12, these an update for my DVD drive, would it be worth updating? There was only one with a .dvd file, if that neccisary because CloneCD still new the layer break. My last disk had a .dvd but is Unreadable. I think ill rip another following the tutorial found here. Ive got another question, the .dvd and the image were in the same folder, but CloneCD opens the image not the .dvd, is that coreect?

Thanks

We know how you burned the game but how did you rip the original what method?

this is the tutorial i follow'd to do everything, Complete Firmware Tutorial V40
Chancer
What drive is in the 360? what firmware flashed to it?
There are different rip and backup methods listed in the tutorial. Depending on your drive and firmware try ripping with a different method

Ive got a Samsung flashed with Xtreme42b. this was a question i was going to ask, if i was to flash again with Xtreme42a, would it make a difference?

Thanks

edit: Ok this seems to be a bit wierd but its worked 2 times with 2 disks. I put the DL disk into my computer and opend it, i taken it out and put it into my xbox360 and... no more dirty disk. granted one still crashes but, it works after i had the disk in my pc...??! is that just a coincidence?

No offense, but maybe if you were in college, you would know how to spell college(collage)??? Secondly, try burning at a faster speed. I recommend MAX

You should upgrade your burner firmware, the writting for DVD-DL has been improved

Ok just to update, i did the pot tweak and no it didnt really help as far as i can tell. My pot was on 4.9kohms and i reduced it to 3.07kohms after 2 failed attempts to run backups. But i did find something that did work, actually it works perfect as of yet. What i need to do if put an Original Xbox360 game in the drive, run it for about 5 seconds, take the original out and run the backup. The backup works completly perfect when ive done this. It dosnt even have to be the original of that particular game, i just have to put an original in before i run the backups. Does anybody else get this?

Is this something to do with he firmware i flashed the drive with? is there somthing wrong with 42b, maybe the speed of which its reading the disk? When i put an original in, the xbox is MUCH louder that when i put a backup in first, but when i change straight from an original to a backup the Xbox is still really loud, like its reading the disk faster.

Any ideas anybody?
