Just installedan openxbox.
I've been getting an odd message every now and then when I insert disks.
"Your xbox requires service, please contact technical support"
It doesn't appear to be anything severe, just seems odd. I can reboot and the disks play perfectly.
had anybody else seen this?

What is your current OpenXbox setup? EvolutionX Dash? BIOS?

I used BIOS 2.4
EvolutionX Beta Build 1.8.2594

A cold solder joint more than likely. I ran into that when installing an enigmah. In my situtaion it was location # 15 on the mobo. Recheck you points and if necessary apply 1 second of heat on the solder point in question.

I checked all of the solder points on your advice. I'm not so sure. It had all the trappings of a software problem. Something along the lines of trying to boot a second unsigned disk without a reboot. I didn't persue it, I have to confess. So i could be making that up.
I've since flashed a nice 2.5 BIOS with "err.noani.nologo.evox". I haven't seen the odd error again.
