Hello i am having problems, and need some help so heres the story.

I have a european Xbox 1.6 with an executer 3 chip with a dual boot setup (split 2MB rom) one for original one for executer bios.

I just got my 110 volt power supply which i exchanged for my european 220
(i just moved to the US from norway and brought my xbox)
Fire it up and everything is oki but when i go into "settings" and want to change from PAL to NTSC (so the video output isnt black and white on my tv) i get the following message.

"Writing to eeprom disabled cannot proceed"

I dont understand this since the number 5 switch is in the "off" posistion on the executer dip switch.

I have heard there is a second switch on the Executer mod chip inside but i opened it up and couldn't find it.
Anyone that can help me locate it? Or tell me if this is another Issue entirely?
Also if i try to change other things inside the video settings i get the following message
"Will not write to EEPROM when hardrive is locked" How do i unlock the drive? I apologize in advance for being such a newb. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I found out how to do it, but not before ripping my hair out.

It had nothing to do with the switches in the front or the HDD being locked.

You have to go further into a different type of settings and allow changes to EEPROM, then go back and change your video output smile.gif

I also think i posted this post in the wrong part of the forum. Soz mods! :
