New to me.
The only thing I don't get is this comment:

The chip image is not a socket connector? Or am I missing something?

This chip will be useless if it does not have the latest code on it. The NME 1.2 would be a better choice it you want a chip.

I installed the nme360 v1.1 and it works perfectly but i'm going to swap it out for the v1.2 because of what team underdOg discribes as "new improved and very stable media detection, budget media support". It will
probably just work better with all dvd-dl discs and better with verbatim discs.

Yes but with the NME, you need a working firmware on ur drive isnt it ? Because the "All 360" seems to be able to replace completly the onboard flash, that allow people to "repair" theire bricked drive.
