im have burner tsstcorp ts l532a (from laptop) and where im find booktype/bitsetting?? Becouse im burning COD2 and Burnout Revenge (COD2 - black screen and runrecognized disc, BURN - only OPEN TRAY in dashboard) not working
Later burning COD3 and GOW, this game working very good !!

(dvd+rdl verbatim, cloneCD (burning *.dvd))

looks like you have no control over it, but it does it automatically.

maybe another issue is causing no boot?

queer, im burning for X1 True Crime 2 on 2xDVD-R - not working, later burning on another burner and game working O_O

Will work with PAL version consoles with the xtreme firmware applied. DVD+R DL discs must be used and bitsetting must be set to DVD-ROM
