Why dont you share the movies with either frost/freenet or bearshare. You can create links to either one that you could post here or in a master list.

Thank you for the fatal frame post, I have made quite a few wmv's that werre not available, I'll be uploading them on monday evening after 10pm EST so also if there are any requests or any other hard to get ones like that Jurassic park one I did, let me know and I'll hook em up.

Ok...going up I have Aggressive Inline, Apex, Big Mutha Truckers, Brute Force, Burnout 2, Finding Nemo, Legends of Wrestling 2, NBA Street Vol 2, NHL 2K3 (not NHL 2003), Slam Tennis, Soul Caliber 2, Spiderman and The Hulk.

I appended all the filenames w/st...i.e. filename_st.wmv.

Not because I care that I did 'em, just so folks on dialup don't d/l the same wmv's twice. Several of these were re-edits of other wmvs, and I didn't want to confuse folks.

Ok, I'm finally getting caught up on the videos.. After I get all the ones I don't have, I'll try and upload them. However I have some other shit ~1gb to upload to somewhere else, so I may not get to the vids right away..

I have just put up WMV for 007:AUF, Arctic Thunder, Morrowind, Run Like Hell, Rocky(I like Mine more) Slam Tennis as well(oops), State Of Emergency, Soul Calibur(SPawn Demo) Star Wars: Clone wars and Yager

I added Simpsons Road Rage too...(and I'll probably end up re-encoding all the ones I've previously done to include sound over the weekend for the audio folks out there...)

I made a whole bunch of new vids in high quality. Most of the ones I was downloding from that FTP looked grainy on the screen, especially with the Generator V2 skin because the video is larger. They will have some of the same names as the ones in the other folders but mine are all higher quality. I'll upload another 25+ vids today.


BTW, it seems that IGN fixed that damn .SMIL thing and got back to directly linking to the .mov file.

If you have a request, I can make one or two for some peeps here rather quickly.

I forgot to mention that my vids are under "KAC Vids". I only get 22kbps upload speed so it's going to be a couple hours before all my vids upload.

I'd make a suggestion that we all standardize on the video format (FPS, size) and come up with a consistent name like "MXM-Prev-<Gamename>.v.<version>.wmv", and keep file size under say 5 megs. That way we'll be able to keep consistant and if we share them via, Bearshare/Kazaa/whatever it'll be easy to search for....

Not a bad idea... mine are all 768 fps... i feel people should mention whether there is sound or not though because no sound=suck in my opinion!

I think you mean 768 KBps.....

If it were me setting the standard I'd say 60 FPS, 320x160(?), 512 KBPS, no sound, and 10 seconds long would set it right about 5 meg filesize....

Im in the process of doing a bunch of remakes with sound. I also wanted to let Sticky know his videos are great but if you could redo them with sound, that would be even better.

Probably do 'em over the weekend and have them available Monday morning...

(the irony is it was *more* work for me to remove them than it would have been to leave the audio in...go figure...)

Finding Nemo still doesn't have sound as the video I did was ripped from a trailer for the game and has voice over. I edited out most of the advertising crap so w/sound it sounds really stupid (the only thing more silly than the voice over is an edited/spliced voice over that is incoherent).

I also created a PacMan (the classic arcade game...not the cheesy 3D xbox game) video that I use for MAME preview.

How are you guys getting .bik videos to convert? I used the bink converter, but can't get it to function any further as all the .avi files it outputs are choppy as hell.

These aren't .bik videos, they are just normal .mov videos from IGN converted to .wmv.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I'm actually trying to convert my own from the games themself, not using existing .mov files.

the way i feel is this, If you aren't happy with the vids FREELY provided and done in someone else's free time, then you should go and create your own. the amount of videos available right now without the leecher having to do any work other than to FTP in and select the files they want is TREMENDOUS. If you want a CUSTOM/PERSONLIZED video then by all means go ahead and hook it up and then UPLOAD it to make it available to others. It is only right.

I dont know howto convert to wmv, and I was just checking

This is in the ReadMe.... BIK is a proprietary format, and while the tools to EDIT them are freely available, the code/libraries to play them back on an Xbox (or a PC for that matter) are not, and require large fees.

WMVs are smaller, and actually superior to BIK anyway.

They're .wmv not .mov AND they're usually only about 3-5mb.

Can someone PPLLLEEAAASSEE tell me where i can download the .wmv or .mov of star wars starfighter please? It is not on the ftp and i cant find it on ign. Please point me to where i can either download it or someone send it to me. Also does anyone have any videos or pictures for applications? the only ones i can find are config magic, boxplorer, xbmp. Thanks

Just download the video for the PS2 version from IGN. It's basically the same game.

Ok since nobody would tell me where to get star wars starfighter I managed to do it myself! yay. I foud a video of it on ign then followed the tut to convert it to a wmv. The auio on it isnt very good but that was what it was like when i downloaded (its shaky) also the audio cuts out for the last 10secs cos i dont have the registered version of that program and can only do 40secs of audio. I will upload it to moneyshotz ftp tonight for anyone who wants it.

Thanks for the vids, guys. I switched dashboards this weekend with the help of that myaxmatosis thing. It really helped since I didn't quite understand the xml layout, yet. I have all of my games organized into categories (ex. Action, Racing, Sports, Extreme Sports). So, I also wanted to upload some category type vids that I made. If anyone is interested look in the dizturbd folder on moneyshotz ftp. Once again, thanks everyone.
