Hi I have just flashed a ms28 box with the xtreme 4.2a firmware using the VCC switch method and find that I am getting E65 sad.gif

Re-flashed it back to original firmware and get E64 ..

BUT if I keep the wires that replace the R408 resistor connected then all works ok smile.gif (with the orig and xtreme firmware)

My question is will it be safe to leave them connected or should I place a resistor in the circuit? ie: there is no current limiting and things could go pop!

Ideally I would replace with the same value as the orig R408 but it appears to have gone awol ..

So does anybody know the value?

If not I guess I could just start with a very high res and then gradually lower it till the box works..

any answers / suggestions appreciated .. thanks

The resistor for the vcc trick is 0 ohms. So you can just leave the wires connected or bridge the connection some other way. Hope this answers your questions. biggrin.gif

you can bridge them with a drop of solder it will work fine
