I noticed some people had the same problem and some don't? The problem with mine is consistent, I'll be streaming any kind of movie and after about 10 minutes the connection dies, the cache will deplete and then boot me right back to my movie selection menu, it becomes pretty tiresome having to start the movie again and find the same spot, I was wondering if anyone has the same problem or found a solution for the connection dropping? If there is no solution for SMB on linux is there a RelaX type alternative with a GUI I can run on my linux box?

CcXStream Server 1.0.15 for Linux (uses XBMSP protocol) by PuhPuh

I use Win32 version at the moment. It is very easy to setup . . . just one command with a few options. See Readme that comes with dl from here . . .
