I have a TS-H943 and on the back of the drive it says ms28 and is dated August 2006. Am I going to have any trouble following this guide ( http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=513220 ) while using Xtreme Firmware 5.0a?

P.S. I heard this Firmware is hard to crack...would it be worth it to just buy a ms25 drive?

Read through this thread:

The MS28 is tougher to flash than the MS25 because you need either a VIA chipset or you'll need to remove a resistor. Buying an MS25 drive won't solve your problem as you'll need the DVD key from the current drive. Buying the $12 VIA SATA card is the easiest solution. Look in the pinned topics for important links. There are a few for SATA cards in there. Once you have the hardware, it's a piece of cake.

They are out of stock right now, but I will grab one when they come back. Thanks for the advice.
