I have the samsung drive flashed with kreon and all the necessary apps, and the Verbatim dvdrs. Need to klnow if this sony drive can be used to burn backups. I didnt really think it would be that important but i have about 10 coasters. Whenever I put the dvd it goes to a white screen saying that i have to play the dvd on an xbox360. Weird. Thanks in advance.

Uh did you flash your 360 drive? Which firmware did you use?

Did you set your booktype to DVD-ROM? (To check, put the disc in your computer and load up ImgBurn or DVD Decrypter, it should tell you the booktype of the disc. If it's not DVD-ROM, it won't work.

What did you use to rip the game? I recommend Xbox Backup Creator....

ImgBurn and Xbox backup creator are the way to go. You can use XBC to do stealth check of your iso before burning. I am using Sony DRU 800a sometimes with Verbatim DVD+R DL 8x.( But I burn at 2.4x for safe). I just picked up Pioneer 111D equalivent DVR-710B from bestbuy for $39. If you have Nero you can go to recoder------>select recoder........> option.........> change to book type DVD-ROM. If you already falshed your xbox 360 withlatest firmware, this is not the case.

I've got a Sony DRU-800A that I've been using for my burns. To date I've made about 7-8 with this burner, but I've been having a problem where the discs will sometimes work and other times not, or simply not at all.

At this point, I'm not convinced that it's the Sony that causing the issue. I'm leaning more towards the 78FK that's in my 360.
