I'm currently using HDMi inputs via DVI adapter to my 32 LCD. My tv can handle 1080i, 720p and 480p/i.
When I use 1080i, the letters and icon look fuzzy. It doesn't look good or sharp. Every other resolution looks acceptable and sharp.
Does anyone know whether 1080i will look better with component? The xbox360 HD DVD player doesn't have this problem via component. I can't really enjoy a fuzzy blueray movie that looks like crap.

All fix now with component. 1080i looks much better. Seems that my tv can't process 1080i correctly through hdmi/dvi.

You should be using 720p via HDMI, becuase your tv is 720p native. It will look better that way. It downscales 1080i to make it fit the number of pixels on your display, so you're not getting the full image.
