Hi,

I keep getting the error "cannot extract ss.bin." When using Schtrom360?
I'm using the Samsung SH-D162C DVD ROM with Kreon's modified firmware v.081

I also get a similar ss related read error on XBOX Backup Creator.

I backed up a game recently using Schtrom360 and exactly the same method and it worked perfectly

Are there different procedures for different games?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks

i seem to get the same problem all the time , schrtom never works for me , back up does, i have to atempt to do it 10 or so times , i often run any cleaning utilities first cc cleaner,and the like then it works eventually, although ive recently done a back up to gears of war and it wont work,also the original wont play at all.

Usually when your original disc is dirty or some scratches on it,this would happened.I got the same problem with my samsung SH-D162C drive. First I thought I got bad drive but it came sealed with maunal in the box. I reflashed with keron and now works flawlessly.
