Hi,

when trying to play back mms://wms9live.pod.tv/king_ch01/video the following happens: It plays back the current clip and when the clip is finished XBMC falls back to XBMC dash. I am currently using 2.1 point release, playing back files with mplayer.

I guess the problem is, that the stream consists of multiple files. The same happens if I play back a file that has a "station id" in front of the regular stream: XBMC plays the "station id" and falls back to XBMC dash after that, no chance for me to watch the regular stream within XBMC.

Is there any setting that I could use to change that behaviour of mplayer? I did an installation of mplayer on my PC and the above does not happen there, so it should be an XBMC issue...

Make a strm file for each and add them to the playlist with the Y button.

thanks for your fast reply. This sounds like a practicable solution but only for those streams that I know the filenames beforehand. If I don't know the filename before playing back I am kinda doomed Is there any other solution to this?
