I have a stock Xbox with no other mods done.

I did the game exploit hack with Mech Assault and used the EVOX dash. Then added an XBMC. I decided that was old so I need to do it again. I then wanted to try UnleashX Dash. I did that.....

So here I am today and what I have done previously has worked but I feel I did something wrong in my haste to try things out. When I do FTP to my Xbox I see a C: drive as well as E: H: X: Y: and a Z: drives. I do not believe I should see so many.

Also I have problems viewing scripts. I have been using XBMC Pimped Edition. I have my network setup right. but I get errors like VDecoder has failed. Could it be I need ports opened on my router?

I don't want to go back to stock Xbox but will if advised that is the safest and most sure way to start over fresh.

I would like XBMC as the dash next time around.

That is exactly what you should see. What softmod installer did you use? Look for a dashboad or dash folder in the e: drive. Empty the contents of that folder and put the contents of the XBMC folder in there if you want to boot right into XBMC.

Does this seem right?

To install a newer XBMC version I deleted everything except C: drive and its contents. After doing that I changed from evox dash to unleashx dash. After this is when I noticed more drive letters.

If this all seems correct anyway, am I installing the XBMC correctlly?

And if all thats correct then why does SCRIPTS seem to hang on loading on my XBox?

try deleting what is in Y and Z partitions.

also take a look at the XBMC FAQS, it has something about the extra drive letter (its normal i just forget what it does)
