Ok, so i'm ready to go ahead and flash my Samsung drive with xtreme firmware 5.2, but don't know which firmware to pick? i don't know which speed i should use. anyone want to let me know what they got on thier drive and how good/bad thier back-ups run?

Use A unless your backups just don't work with it.

I use D because it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay quieter. I can deal with the extra 5 second load times.

I use B...quiet, but doesn't load noticeably slower.

I use A, since I have speakers in my home. I usually use my speakers so I can hear sounds from whatever I'm playing. You guys should try that too and maybe you won't hear the drive spinning?

I use B - Quiet and reliable

Generally though, there are the many versions out there because there are as many differing opinions on which is best.

If you are keen for fastest game loads, and pretty sure your disk are all good quality, then A or C would suit

If you value quiet machine and a bit more reliability over slightly quicker load times then B or D would suit.

I chose B over D because ironically enough most of the problems I have seen have been on the original disks!.

I would suggest pick your chosen poison, flash, and leave the unit open for a while to play your originals and backups - see how it loads and plays. You can always flash over later if you like.
