That can't be done. The icons on the end can't fade into transparency like that. I wish lists like that could be done though.

This skin definately looks like it's gonna be a good'n though(if it gets made).


EDIT: Maybe some kind of overlay could be used to give the apperance of the icons fading.

i just wanted to asked if it would work with an overlay....

not when the whole thing is completely transperant to the back ground

That is possible if you make an overlay.

I did that for the Media Center Skin.


@Fluidman: Are you a GFX artist and the images are all made? I would help could it up if you could provide the pngs? I am good at building them, not creating the images :?.

Yes, it's possible to do that with overlays, but the background would have to be one static image, it can't be changed without having an overlay of that specific area of the background as well. Although it's very inconvenient, the overlay method is pretty much the only way to do something like that.

Instead of an overlay couldn't you just do something like iTunes.

the reflection would probably work if you take each cover twice and just flip it and display it with some time of overlay

You can but you only get 10 minutes to do it in then its locked

it would be nice if you had a movies view similar to your album views where all you see is the box art and no text and have the covers fill the screen.

Reflection is possible by using negative numbers.

Won't be after the new revision is out. It will be done a different way. Check out the loginscreen.xml for the blackbolt classic to see how it is done

we now have most of the mains screens done, worked in different types of views, put in some extras, we'll just be a little more patient. it does look nice already, that much i can say ;-)

I'm glad to see that there is some interest in this skin.

We are making some good progress. I would say that we are about half way there. I can't really give you a time frame for a beta. But, this skin has made a lot of progress in just 2 short weeks.

We will try to keep everyone informed with the progress of the skin.

Looks really nice, I like it. You wont be able to do the diffuse, yet, on the end icons if you do custom wallpapers though .

Actually, I think we could do the effect with an overlay. But, that isn't the way it's in the skin at the moment. I might try to added it later. Right now I'm trying to finish up the remaining screens and dialogs.

First off the skin now has a name. It's called Slate.

This skin has only been in the works for about 2 1/2 weeks. In this time we have made a lot of progress. We still have a long way to go before it could be considered a complete skin. Is that even possible a complete skin?

There are a few things that we have tried to do with this skin. We have tried to use as much of the available screen as possible for content. We have also added a lot of skin settings. Right now we have 18 skin settings. And this doesn't include the bookmarks.

This is just a taste of what is to come with this skin. We have added some different view types that I think some of you will find useful.

We are looking to have a beta ready in about a week. Please don't hold us to an exact date. Because this is just a hobby to us and we might have more pressing real life matters that could slow down progress.
