I would like to begin work on a skin matching the Vista Media Center theme...

But I dont know how to make skins..

Im very good in photoshop so I'm asking would someone help me with this project?

Funny you ask... I just started working on one now.

Waiting to here back from another community forum to borrow his images he made from VISTA.

Yeah i had vista on my pc too.. but removed it because my pc is too slow for vista

but they did an excellent job on the media center ui !.. So if u need any help.. i can help you

But i hope u can do the UI effects too like they did in vista mce

hades_666 i thought u was going to finish off implementing new stuff and sorting out cosmetic probs in the media centre 2006 v6 skin, ive been using this skin ever since u released it, n been waiting patiently for an update ever since....oh well...but vista media centre skin would be even more :kikass!!! cant wait!!!

The vista media center has a great look and feel about it. I will be interested to see how this turns out. It would be great if there was also a script for vista media center but as far as i know there was never one made for xp media center so it is very unlikely. Would sure be great though. All the best with this skin!

could you just do an update to the mce 2005 v6 skin that's out now? like a theme for that skin. if that's ok with whoever made it first.

Vista's Media Center works differently than XP's Media Center.

no, i'm talking about the mce skin for xbmc. just create a vista theme. don't make a brand new skin. i think a theme would be easier.

It would be easier, but it wouldn't really look a whole lot like Vista's Media Center.
They're very different.

based on the screenshots i did some buttons..
it's not that perfect, but i'm working on it. next would be a similiar background, not a perfect copy (perhaps with moving rays ). it's too bad, i can't do the XML stuff ;(

Yeah but if someone does make this, then I want them to improve on MCE's appauling navigation and video menus. Not the layout, just the way it minimises closed videos etc.

I have begun working on this as of today. I am welcome to any suggestions, or help, and i am looking for coders.

What do you think so far? It's nothing extravagant yet.

the menu is working, but not animated, yet. since i have not much spare time, i don't know if it ever gets finished, but it is a nice practice in xbmc skinning

I think its pretty safe to assume that this project is dead.

Bugger, coz I was looking forward to this one.

Currently slowly learning how to skin - once I am better at it, I might look at doing a Vista MCE skin myself.
