Hi

Does anyone know if i can use mtkflash to flash my samsung SH-D163A sata drive with the new kreon firmware?!

the enclosed flashing app doesn't seem to work, it says incompatible drive but I am using the exact model it says in the instructions!

I tried to do by command line but for some reason my cmd.com app keeps hanging on startup

any help would be appreciated!

Another solution:
Ususally, the solution is to bring it in another pc to flash it (chance that two consecutive pc will be incompatible are slim). After it is flahed, it should work ok in you pc.

I do not know about mtkflash and sh-D162C

hi there, i think somewhere in this forum got somebody with the same problem but solved it. it got to be something to do with disabling the drive checking of that sammy flashing programs - sfdnwin.exe. i am not sure about that but it is something like - you got to run under DOS command mode in windows and type in sfdnwin /nocheck or something like that, so that the 'incompatibe drive' would not appear. maybe you search for the thread in this forum or that dvd-rom forum. cheers!
