Been reading for weeks before i finally purchased a Xecuter3CE chip + 320g HD for my xbox. I have been unable to find info on this, so can someone help out please?

1) Is there reason to replace the IDE cable with a 80pin IDE cable if I only have one device in it?? Does the xbox have UDMA66 support?

2) Just confirming on this one, but to backup the existing HD (save games, etc) I will need to have the mod chip installed or I cannot FTP to the unit correct? (So I'm assuming I mod the box, backup existing drive to PC, replace HD with new one then format, etc)

3) Havent decided between dashboards yet, but it will be between UnleashX and Avalaunch. If I decide to use UnleashX, can I still boot Avalaunch if its installed, and take advantage of the higher speed FTP transfers with Qwix?

4) I plan on running my box in HD most of the time, and hopefully booting in that mode too. My TV's HD input is a piece of shit, and will not take SD inputs on it at all. Do the various dashboards allow me to force a resolution of 480p, or 1080i (the only two formats my TV supports on the HD input)?

1. People say that changing the cable out boosts performance, I've never really seen a difference.

3. You might also consider setting xbmc as your dash. Its amazing.

4. Your tv doesn't support 720P? Thats pretty strange I've never seen one that just did the highest and lowest resolutions. You'll need to setup the HD setting under the stock ms dashboard.
