Just purchased Star Trek legacy and I am trying to make a back up before the kids get a hold of the original. I haven't had any problems backing up my other games. After I load the iso file into ssmerger 1.6 I get a message saying "Iso looks like an extreme way made iso (no video partion)". Then I load the ss file, which takes seceral minutes (usually takes about 1 sec.). After burning, the backup doesn't work. Any ideas of what is going on?

I used WXripper to get the iso file. Thanks for the thread link. For some reason that thread didn't show up with my search.

if you used wxripper , why is the image seen as xtreme style , it should be wxripper style (unless you put J to start in the first three lines of the layout file I believe).
You ss.bin is blocking ssmerger, how was it extracted?

I have no idea why the image was seen as xtreme style. I changed the 3rd C in the layout file to a D, the same way I have done all of my backups. As for the second part of your question, were you asking where I extracted the the ss.bin file? If so, got it from (xx.xxxxxxxx.xxx web site edited by sosotiit) . The programs I am using, in order, are... wxRipper, ssmerger1.6, CloneCD. I am fairly new to this backup stuff so please excuse me I have misinterpreted any of your questions.

not surprising that you have problems if it is downloaded files,
Plse be advised that we strictly enforce
X-S rules against usage of SS downloaded files.
