Okay, I know I'm not the first to have this problem.
I am using a Samsung drive flashed with Xtreme 5.2C. It has been tested and works fine in the 360.
My SATA PCI Card has the VIA VT6241A chipset.
I can flash the drive fine with a floppy Dos Bootup. I did it yesterday for 7 hours in fact.
I am using the Xecuter Connectivity Kit v1 with the power supply on a seperate external switch.
I am using an Intel 2350 rev 2 chipset.
I am running Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2.
Connecting the 360's Hard Drive into the SATA card before or while Windows is running is fine. It can be accessed.
If I try to turn the DVD Drive at any stage of windows however, it freezes. If I try to turn it on after Windows has booted, the screen freezes, but if I remove it, the screen refreshes itself in about 30 seconds and it works again.
Also my DVDInfo Pro shuts down with an error as soon as I boot it.
I thought the ASPI might be the problem so I tried to reinstall it. No luck.
I tried to reinstall the SATA Drivers. No luck.
If anyone has any idea what is wrong, please help!
It has cost me $250 dollars worth of equipment and a second 360 (Another $300) to finally be able to hack this drive.
