I have a pioneer dvr 111d with 1.23 firmware
using a hitachi drive with maximus/garyopa 2.2 stealth 8in1
using verbatim dvd+r DL discs burning at 2.4x
using clone cd, img burn, dvd decrypter
comp specs: p4 2.4 1gb ram, 2 hd's, 1 dvdrom
for some reason it doesn't burn with much consistency
i'm at about a 50% success rate after going through a 10pack of verbatims
anyone know why this could be?
will burning at 1x inrease my chances?
does anyone recommend upgrading fw to somethin else?

I reviewed your previous posts in the compatibility thread, you seem to have the right recipe for a burn. You even have some working, so the burning seems probably good.

If some are working, some not, I would now be concerned about the quality of the extraction.
How have you extracted them?
-for ss.bin which software & drive?
-for game.iso which software & drive?
-how was it merged?

i'm not sure if i'm allowed to say this but the games were all downloaded
they all came prepatched and supposedly ready to burn
i notice that the ones that don't work usually have rings on it of a different shade that denotes data was or wasn't written on that area
while the ones that work have consistent data written from start to finish on the disc
the thing is it's not like a specific game always fails
but if i try it a few times i'm bound to get a working one
but the ratio is bad
