Is it possible to make a trainer for a ported game, say Duke 3d since the cheats weren't made available in the port?

If so, have any already been made? Personally, I've played most of the FPS ports so often I can beat it without much trouble, but it's always more fun to get some cheats going and blow crap up.

The best I've been able to find is this for the Quake 2 port (I think. The page was in german)

Edit the file "config.cfg" and Type one of the following lines. Pressing the key "B" activates the effect.
bind XB_B "god" - God Mode
bind XB_B "give all" - everything (weapons, etc..)
bind XB_B "NO target" - Enemies can't hit you?
bind XB_B "NO clip" - for NO Clipping mode

I've almost done with those trainers for port games

basically those trainers contains for all XBE versions v1.0 v.1.1 v720..the cheats
