All the art has been done by me, nothing has been taken from wmp11.

I dont think that shadow fading is possible on the non focused... You can diffuse, but its over the entire object not a gradient, unless you figure out some kind of overlay. Dont even know if you can overlay in a wraplist

liquiddrop, I really like your xTV work, but rainingdesign's WMP11 mockups appeal to me more than the older WMP theme your basing your mockups on.

I don't know how you would have that fading out effect on the side thumbnails...

You could do that shadow effect with a wrap list. All you would have to do is put the list behind a shadow overlay and make the focus always stay in the middle.

and the bar going all the way across i dont really like that much =/

I think the way i have it doesnt distract the user from the content to much with flashy eye candy..

im not interested in including that in my final release, but i will most likely release the source art at some point, at which point you can do what youd like with it

u should continue to code ur version of that idea. I love both designs to be honest. I look forward to anything from either of these talented people. we need as many solid decent skins as possible. I always go back to pmIII after trying any of the current skins but xtv and these make my mouth water.... black and that blue go so well together.

He could just make a theme for it.

first off, NO! second, NO! third, use my art, you die! not joking either, once the skin is released and final, feel free to make whatever "themes" youd like.

Well rainingdesign, I'm sorry to say this but it's your loss, because liquiddrop's version looks really better than yours, it's touches look more professional and less like a WMP 11 rip-off.

Team Blackbolt obviously doesn't need another team member because it's already a big and complete team full of talented and expert people. But I don't see why he couldn't work with you in an alternate theme for your skin, since it's clear that the two of you together can do a better quality job than yourself alone. I mean, even Blackbolt doesn't work alone.

I don't know if your reasons are jealousy or keeping all the credit to yourself to be considered a top skinner or something like that, but it wouldn't hurt to work with liquiddrop and credit a simple "thanks to liquiddrop". I'm sorry but it's a shame, it's your loss.

1) everybody likes different things... so dont say his is better or his is worse

2) take a look at the topic! rainingdesign's goal is to make a skin that looks like wmp11

3) liquiddrop can always make a theme once rainingdesign releases his code

Well, it's the author's choice, it's his work, I just made an observation. It's looking good, it's nice too see all these new skin design nice ideas coming up.

lol timo1023 i was'nt undermining blackbolts status as a skin god i already know he is, and i respect the work he has done, i was merely suggesting to him to consider liquid's work thats all, its up to blackbolt, so please read posts carefully before you start posting irelevant and pointless comments.

Besides fred-pj is right its upto the author since its his work, if he doesnt want to use liquids designs then so be it, liquid can always produce a theme for the skin in the future if he desires to do so.

Ok dude it says that because he got it put there not because anyone else did he is just a person and only one part of a whole team (I use team loosly because the active ranks are thining) that just happens to have his name in it because he was the founder. I only say this because Blackbolt is not GOD of skins and his opinion / say is not always right and to be taken as the word of god its just his personal opinion and nothing more.
