I flashed my Hitachi and everything works fine except when i make backups I'm using dvddecrypter and imgburn it seems to burn fine but when i'm verifying it it will come up with an error at 1913760 which is the layerbreak for DL. the games will try to boot in the 360 and only get to a part of the loading screen before it shows an error so i know i flashed the drive right it's just the disks dont burn right after the layerbreak. any idea of whats wrong please help i have waisted $14 of my DL's and it took me that long to realize the thing was having a bad burn at the layerbreak. its the second layer i'm guessing wont burn right what can i do about this?
HELP!

What drive are you using to make your backups? The pioneer 111d is probably the best drive out there for burning backups. Also have you tried using CloneCD instead of DVDDecrypter and ImgBurn. The error sounds as though it's trying to check the second layer for the security sector and this is why you're getting the problem.
Edit: Are you certain that your burner supports bitsetting?

1) try with another burner
2) try with other media
3) dont use "verify" in imgburn, somehow this option screwes up my burning with my NEC (no idea why). I have stopped use the verify option and the backups always work 100% for me.

I am using a magicspin DVD drive and i don't think it supports bitsetting i am also now trying my brothers laptop to burn it and his does support bitsetting. but i don't have any access to better media so thats out for now. for some reason clonecd doesn't work on my computer it always comes up with saying it wont fit on disc just like this. is there any way to fix that?

Is there anyway to fix that error?

I would try a better media (verbatim) and if that does not solve it, different burner.
also how have you done the backup?
-for ss.bin which software & drive
-for game.iso which software & drive
-how was it merged
You also have similar post in the tutorial for dvddecrypter, I will remove those.

It may be burner and / or media,
other source of these errors is that the image is not good. Look at the message you get were clonecd gets all confused by the image.
so how was it ripped ?
-for ss.bin which software & drive
-for game.iso which software & drive
-how was it merged

the way it was ripped was fine i tried COD3 on my computer with clonecd and it came up with the error. then i tried the same file with the same program(same version also) on my brothers computer and it worked and played perfectly without the error. so i'm guessing the only thing it would be is the drive.

Yup, if your burner doesn't have booktype setting capabilities you are really limiting your chances for success. @everyone suggesting he use better media he is using Verbatim D/L DVD+R. Replace your burner. The Pioneer 111D will run you less than $40 shipped from newegg (if you are in the US). It will autoset the booktype to DVD-ROM for you on D/L DVD+R RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So you won't even need to adjust any settings. Just burn the image as you have been and you should be fine.

Any ideas who really makes the magicspin. If it is a Lite-On or Benq rebadged drive then I would hold on to it for error scanning purposes.
