So i'm planning to buy a xbox 360, but i dunno if i should wait for thre v2 that has HDMI and 120 gig HD. My biggest concern is will the new version lower my chances of planning backup games? Personally i wouldn't care about the 120 gig, but the HDMI would be nice. What you guys say? Should i buy it now, where i have a good chance of flashing my drive and play backups, or wait and get the new version thats due in fall(i think)
thx

How would anyone but microsoft know what they're planning for the new 360 version as far as the dvd drives, I'm sure if the drives are new and obviously won't be exploited at launch will eventually be circumvented as anything in time does.

Well yeah I'm going to wait for the new 360 because I don't have one yet. My PS3 w/ 100GB HDD will do for now though

dont forget M$ said that there isnt a plan for a 360 with HDMI
and also im sure u will be able to buy the larger hd for the 360
do u think they expect all the current 630 owners to buy a whole new 360 just to get the bigger drive
i dont think so

Depends how long you want to wait, it was confirmed by M$ at CES that the new 360 will be out late 2007
and have IPTV capabilities and larger HD but still no mention of hdmi but its pretty obvious it will unless
they are stupid

As far as hacking, the chances of being able to do the same tricks on the new 360, is almost zero right?
Also how long do u think it will take ppl to find some exploits in the drives to allow ppl to play back up copies? Also do u know if u have to pay monthly for the IPTV service?

If HDMI is a big concern for you, you can either wait for an announcement for an HDMI 360, or you can go to your local gamestop or other videogame retailer and ask them about a replacement program. With it you can buy a 360 now and then if the HDMI 360 ever comes out you can trade it in with a little extra cost. I haven't ever done this but i've read others on the forum talking about it.
