Report: Xbox 360 'Ubiquitous' in India

According to Amritt Ventures, Microsoft's Xbox 360 would appear to be doing well in India. Amritt's Gunjan Bagla noted that the 360 is "ubiquitous in stores across Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore."
He met with Mohit Anand, country manager at Microsoft's India Entertainment and Devices Division, who unfortunately would not cough up any sales numbers for the Microsoft console, which launched in India on September 23, 2006. In a statement last year, however, he did acknowledge India's growing importance in the global video game market. "It is estimated there are 1.6 million gamers in India who spend at least 2 hours playing everyday," he said.
