NewEgg now has the 20-pack going for $28.99 and FREE SHIPPING! I'd get more but I don't have more than 20 games in my collection, so my first 20-pack is sufficient.

So you got Made In Singapore discs from newegg?

I just bought a pack of 25pc Verbatim DL at BigDennis.com.

These are made in Singapore as you can see, so they have the best you can get. A friend of mine bought these too a couple of times now and we never had any other than made in Singapore! love.gif

BTW: They only have printable DVD's in stock (laser and inkjet) but that doesn't really matter in my opinion.

I'm not sure what are the exchange rates at present. I know that $1AUD is worth more 55c canadian. Oh well I just look at it this way, it's better than paying $5AUD for a single pack DL which they still sell at retail stores.

The pack I got was from a swap meet (computer fair). I've seen prices on the net here is aus and they are about $53-$55AUD for a 20 pack and $10+ for postage and handling.

Went to Best Buy today and found some Singapore ones. Cost $40 for 20 though. But it has been difficult to find the Singapore ones.....not to mention that the only other DL media they carried was Memorex which cost $82 for 50. The price is a little cheaper but not worth it in my opinion.

Just friggen memorex and various other low quality brands. I do have a local sams that i will be going to tomorow im just wondering if anyone knwos where i can order some online and get singapores!! I am located in Connecticut in the United States. Sam's website says they have a 50Pack DL in my area but is there any tips or like better chances liek a type or speed or spindle quantity that will give me better chances to get singapores???

I just got back from Sams Club in Las Vegas, NV and picked up two MIS packs for $59.74.

Looked through many of the spindles and it looked like they were all MIS! Maybe Verbatim is starting to take heat for the crappy MII ones. I doubt it though.

Anyway, this is our newest store in town so I assume it was just not old stock.

Thank you everyone for keeping this tread doing. I was getting pretty low on discs.
skindogg
yeah I just picked up one of those 50packs from sam's myself for the same price. Some of the spindles were India and some were Singapore so make sure to check 'em.

Anybody find a better price than $48 shipped on a 20-disc spindle of Singapore 2.4x printables?
jesterrace777
Not sure how much it will be with shipping but give this a shot:

http://www.rima.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?...oduct_Code=1871

Anyways, Best Buy has the 2.4x 20 packs for $30 this week and if you have a microcenter in your area you can get the 2.4x 10 packs for $14. Not bad if you prefer to be guaranteed MIS and pick up in store.

That's the benefit of buying in store, you can verify before you buy. There do seem to be a pretty good stock of MIS these days though.

I just went to the local FutureShop (Laval, Quebec) and they got a truckload of +RDL Verbs (as advertised) but all of them are MII (I Checked every spindle)

Dumb me, I should have gone and checked before ordering from the web sad.gif

Crap. I just asked I friend to buy me some in Quebec City. Hope I can get Singapore ones... sad.gif

Are the India ones as bad as they used to be?
jesterrace777
The ones from India are a mixed bag. They can either be good discs or piles of junk worse than the other DL media alternatives out there. You definitely have much higher odds of getting screwy discs with the MII ones though.
gaboumafou
Yeah, I got India ones...

Think I should bring them back for a refund (if it's even possible), or I could still try to use them for X360 backups?
PvtTolarian
I just got my web order and they are MIS! You can always try to return the store ones and try to order from the web, you might get lucky like me!
gaboumafou
I think I will return one of the 2 packs, and keep one. Maybe I will end up getting a "good" India batch, who know? rolleyes.gif

It's possible to return the disc to the store even after the "deal" is over, right? (I won't go to Quebec City until next week sad.gif )

Office Max is running a 20 pack for $27 USD right now. I don't know for how long though. I saw plenty of MIS

Both of these are 20pk spindles for $26.99 (with free shipping):

Amazon.com: Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5GB 2.4X 20pk Spindle.

Newegg.com: Verbatim 8.5GB 2.4X DVD+R DL 20 Packs Cake Box Branded Disc - Retail.

I've been watching them for a month and the prices fluctuate from a low of $26.99 to a high of about $36.99. I just noticed the prices drop within the past 24 hrs, and the last time they were this cheap was about 2 weeks ago. So if you're patient and wait it out, you should never have to pay more than $26.99.

I don't know if the discs are any good because I haven't ordered yet.

It appears extremely difficult to locate any Verbatim DL disk in Australia. I've been importing them, but it works out to approximately $3 a disk after shipping cost etc. Does anyone know of a good online retailer for Verbatim that will ship to Australia? (PS, Amazon etc don't so I'd imagine any USA based online companies will have the same restriction, several I've checked do).

Failing that, are there any other brands that people have had a good experience with that may be a little cheaper to obtain is Australia.?

I know many of you aren't into the inkjet printables, but here's a good deal currently at Meritline.com:

---------

Verbatim (95123) 2.4X (UP TO 6X) DL DVD+R (Double Layer DVD+R) White Inkjet Printable Blank Media 8.5GB on Spindle, 20, 40, 80 Pack

Item Code: 104-124

10% off with Coupon Code:DL10POFF[Expire:2008/09/07]

---------

FYI, these are Singapore discs. I ordered the 40 pack, $87.99 - 10% ($8.80) + shipping ($8.80) = $87.99 shipped ($2.20 each). Cheapest I've ever found these printables.
