Ok guys & girls : let me explain a little more.
Most specifcally I would like to play the MLB Games, for now it would just be the 2K6 and in March 2k sports would release the 2K7 - which to my best knowledge will not come as region free and therefor will not be playable in Europe.
Already I wrote to their marketing/sales department which came back with the following answer
"At the present time it is not region free and will be released only for the NTSC formats."
I asked them whether there were still considering since she wrote at the present time however I did not get a reply. From what I read on their fora it is the same case with the current MLB 2K6 version of the games and a lot of people are complaining.
Techincally there only legel thing which remains is to get an american 360 and import the game so it is playable. The region free games will still be playable anyway so I would not loose these.

Don't forget to slap a GOOD power converter on that bad boy. You wouldn't want to set your house on fire.

I was planning to just change the cable on the power supply and connect the european supply to the new X360.

uh it wont work like that the ntsc model is designed for 110v

Navillos you can get things called Step down converters to drop the 240V power down to 110V
It used to be a problem with TV's not being able to display NTSC video signals but again thats less common now most TVS will take w NTSC signal without any problems today.

duh i know that. but that guy wanted to put a pal power supply on a ntsc console.
see: "I was planning to just change the cable on the power supply and connect the european supply to the new X360."
apparently you didnt read his quote in my post. it helps to read

Whats the big deal about that???
The input voltage is not the same thing as the output voltage
Using a 240V power brick with a US console is not a big deal I use a EU console with a US brick without a problem.
PAL BTW is a TV image standards not power, so dont call it a PAL power supply its not accurate and could be confusing to people

i was under the impression that the 360's power supple only needed a plug adapter, the brick will convert the power. just like my laptop that i take to the philipines, the power there is 220v im pretty sure. laptop works fine. i havent tried the 360 there (didnt take it with me).
im not by my 360 right now, so i cant read the power brick lable( or the owners manual) but im prettey sure that was another advantage on the new brick. it doesnt need to be changed, meaning; All 360's can use the same brick, cutting m$oft's cost on the brick. one size fits all.
please some one who has tried, correct me if im wrong.

You got me thinking now about my xbox for when I move to the UK from the US.
I honestly think if I purchase a UK powerbrick then it would work. The xbox system itself is going to run on the same voltage isn't it, its just the powersupply that needs the 220/50hz where we use 110/60hz.
I am brining my computers and monitors with me as they all have built in 110/220 converters. However on my PC (not my laptop) I have to manually switch the powersupply to 220, but i know for a fact the voltage out of the powersupply to the pc components does not change regardless of the current going into the powersupply.
I am going to call xbox here in the US and ask them what is the voltage out of the powersupply to run the 360, and then find out if they can answer about the UK one, if not I will find the customer service number to the UK 360 and ask them...
This will save me some money for the short run.. but the geek that I am, I will probably just keep the US version for non launched US games like NCAA Football etc, and then just purchase a UK model later so that I don't have to worry about importing all of my games and so when I get my 1080p LCD I can plug into it instead of just my computer monitor.

I would think all you would need to do is get a new power and ac power cord brick the outputs 5 / 12 volts are the same for all 360s? so all you would need would be a brick and cord for whatever country your in. which you could get off ebay or here.

Get a local power brick it will work
I came to the US with a EU 360 and it happly runs on a US brick with no problems what so ever.

Generically I would expect that the brick does the conversion (that what it is therefor) this is the case for most modern appliances - note book adapters take whatever input between 110 - 240 and convert into what the notebooks needs so i would expect that M$ is similarly sensible. my philipcs lcd also takes ntsc so that is another problem solved
BUT however we are moving away from the general discussion which is how to get hold of an American 360 in Europe

You could try the BST sub-forum down below, Ebay or order it of an American Site (though the last option would probably be most expensive).

Guys thanks for offering ...
However the bad trip of shipping kits from the US is the hangover which is called tax and imports - normally retailers are not keen in shipping withhout tax and when you want to collect the goods you are hit with additional charges like local tax and import duties which makes the entire excerise not so affordable anymore - getting your tax back normally is also a difficulty we had problematical experiences in the past on shipping games and baseball goods from the states
most economic would be to buy on from the mainland her / UK since there are no taxes/duties applied for goods transfers withing the EU (european union)
or when visiting the states someone needs to carry in the luggage on hope local customs is not checking your lugage otherwise you will be hit with tax and duties again
