Hallo!

I got my 360 console just few days ago, and played 2 games, both don't have anyway to "Quit" them to the x360 theme, like in PC games to quit to desktop.

How can I quit from a game ? Do I have to eject the DVD tray ? doesn't this damage the Drive through the time ? I mean ejecting the tray while the game running ?

press the guide button then press "Y" (the yellow one) to return to the dashboard, this works in every game at any point.

for reference, ejecting the game while it is running does no harm to the drive, the machine spins the disc down and stops it before it ejects the disc.

Generally in console gaming there was no option like that, the 360, the PSP and PS3 all have quit game options though
