I'm looking for a good CD ripping program and want to convert it all to mp3 in the process. Preferably free and no trial version.

Windows media player can do it.
You should have it already. Click "rip" on the icon bar.

When you get brave you can try external encoders such as LAME, but they aren't needed.

Thnx throwing, trying EAC atm
btw iffy, WMP rips to WMA format, bigger and some mp3 players dont read it.

EAC is going to give you the best quality. Don't bother with anything else.

dig around in the options/preferences.. i'm 99.4% sure there's an option to burn mp3 instead of wma

WMP 10 and up have the MP3 option... I don't think 9 has it
