I'm following textbooks tutorial I ran SAMREAD 123456 12345
it said: Bad command or file name
Mtkflash .... etc.
Please wait ...
Drive Scanned:
XTREME Pri Master
XTREME Pri Slave
choose one drive:1
Port fa00, Master/Slave: 0a

And now it just sits there, chipset not supported?
jabroniekilla
is it an ms28 drive? if so, look up "bad flash recovery"
Rackerz
It's an ms8, I just tried something else. Basically I plugged the ms8 into a different SATA port on my mobo mtkflash didn't find any drives but information about the XBOX 360 driver came up. It said it found orig.bin on the drive but couldn't copy it or couldn't find it.

Sorry being a nub but is the bad flash method the only working one?

Thanks

how could we possibly know? you havent posted any info about your setup. via 6421 chipset is what you need to do a ms28.

i suggest following this tutorial for setting up a boot disc using xtreme boot maker and how to flash your ms28. the instructions are pretty cut and dry.
