Do you find it's trial and error, getting a game to work?
Yesterday I burnt Condemned onto a Verbatim disk, came up "unreadable disk" or summat.
Tried again tonight with a cheapo Ridisc disk (I did apply a patch and faff on with SS Merger) and it has just worked a treat.
Was it just a bad burn or did Merger do something?
I you don't apply a patch, what message do you get on the Xbox?

A bit confused that's all, I'd have thought the game would have worked on the Verbatim.

well it could be the booktype was set incorrectly.. i am not clear exactly what kind of image you had to start, but if it was not patched and you patched it, yes that will help.. lol

Sometimes people use patching for inserting the ss, sometimes for other image modification process , so I just want to be sure to get your question clearly:

How have you done the backup?
-for ss.bin which software & drive
-for game.iso which software & drive
-how was it merged with SSMerger (with dmi, pfi, pad with blank...) which options?

For the first you did not insert the ss with ssmerger??
