i wanted to buy Xbox 360 but lately I was stuck between this 2 type console. I want to play xbox live but i cant afford to buy so many original game.

I just want to ask, if say my console is with the nme or xeno 360 modchip and im using original disc to play xbox live.
Then lets say it needs to upgrade firmware or patch, will it upgrade it or just ignore it? Or after upgrading firmware, the console will break? Another thing is it safe to play on xbox live with modded chip on it with original disc?

Can someone also explain how does the upgrade firmware or patching works with nme or xnoe chip in it? Will it upgrade to a new version or just temp upgrade it or will not upgrade at all?

Hope someone can clear this up because is really screwing up my mind and holding me back from buying xbox 360 . Im sorry if I post at the wrong section.

i signed up to xbox live, cost me 60 bucks
as soon as i logged on my xbox broke in half
sucks, so no dont get your xbox modded

if you plan on using live don't go on with a modded box... at least not yet... oh and those burned games had better have an original along with them or else I would not post such things here. You can afford 1 or 2 games and truly enjoy them. Live is an excellent experience. I have loved every day that I am on. It breathes new life into an old game.
Learn this lesson... we back-up our original games that we own, we do not pirate, buy pirate or sell pirate games, we do not post about not having enough money to buy said games, and Dl off of the net.

So if I want to play on my own go for the modded. If want to play xbox live so then go for the original console. well im not saying pirate is not main pirority for me.

I just want to ask whether with modded chip and original game play on xbox live will be safe or not. This question was my most main concern.

If it safe, then how does it done during upgrade firmware and patch? Will it upgrade the firmware safely or it will do nothing about it?

If no, then I will straight go for the original Xbox 360 console. Please someone asnwer my question.
