ok you all may have remembered me from doing the crackel control with the blue X in the middle. Ive just finished my other control with a fan in it. I put a 12v fan on the back of the control with a switch installed then cut out holes in the side. I saw some other guy do this and i thought that it would be a good idea. im glad i put a switch on it so i could turn it off, because when iver your sweating a lot then you turn the fan on after a while your hands will get water loged, lol well tell me what you think.

Why would u need a fan on the controller? It does not look good try to fix it up if u really want a fan on ur controller.

iv kind of changed my idea about ur controller dude.... um maybe if the glue was just for insulation then it might be good... but maybe u cud paint the glue black or something... cuz that loos pretty crappy.. UR OTHER ONE WAS AWSOME... what happened did u fall on ur head or something

no abliviator i believe that you dont understand. i did do a crapy job with putting it in but the air that goes into the control from the fan comes out of the holes that i cut in the side to cool off your hands. I originally had a bigger fan with screws to hold it in place. But it broke and i had a big hole that couldent be filled with the smoller fan, so i had to improvise and fill in the spaces between the plastic and the fan. I think it would be worth the work if i dident have to use hot glue.

I don't see how that weak 40mm fan could cool yours hands after all its flow is stopped when it hits the PCB. Or if its a strong 40mm it would be loud and annoying. I would have just bought the airflow controller cuz hot glue doesn't look that cool. But atleast you tried to do something on your own. Happy modding.

I know that it dosent look like it but the air flows all the way around the control and out of any given hole you make in it. that small fan is enough to cool your hands if you have like 5 or 6 holes on each side of the control. well anyway im going to try to come up witha brand new idea taht knowone has thought of. it will be really cool. well off to work on a new invention lol

I've got 2 of em. I like them.... but I'll warn you... watch out so you dont bend the analog sticks. (like accedently sitting on the controller or it falling on its face) If your joysticks, stick... thats what happened. Also... do NOT have the fan going if you set the controller down. I put screen on the outside of my fan housing... so now it doesnt suck stuff up off of my carpet. :p

Bondo is a substance that you can mold, sand and paint. They use it to fix dents on cars... but i dont think it would stick to plastic. So somthing else would have to be used.

As my football coach used to tell me "I don't care what you were trying to do out there. It's all about execution." So my coach would hate your mod because, as everyone's touched up on, need some work on the execution. The idea's good however someone's already covered the nyko option. But you have a couple more choices than the nyko has... led fan for example on the back. A little bondo and and some led's... you'd have something a little different than what i've seen. I think bondo's alittle heavy though so screws might be the best option. If you've fzucked the back of your controller you can use bondo to sort of make a flat surface again on the back and then just recut your hole and use screws. You probably had all the parts lying arund so I'm guessing the mod was just about free (and quick since hot glue was used). So you get the ghetto mod award! Next time you tell us you did a mod, don't include pics!

I wonder what else could be done for the xbox control. Im trying to think of some cool ideas for a controll anybody have any good ideas or suggestions for a really cool conytroll mod. I really like doing control mods becase your not really risking that much if you screw something up but when your working on the xbox, i think it is easir to mess up. I hated doing the d0 point on my x2p lol.

the crackled paint with the blue x is awesome...the fan controller makes it look like you have an ejaculation problem.....if your hands get to hot from playing xbox why not trying to make a mod of some gloves with fans on them..j/k....dont fuck up a perfectly good controller on your sweaty palms......besides ever heard of the airflow controller?

yea i have but i just decided to make a controller that i already had better for only 6 bucks. seem like a good deal to me. another thing is that the control looks real good from the front and works great. i think it was worth the time and little bit of money put in to it. lol

doesnt that get annoying when you rest your controller on your leg or something and you get attacked by the fan blades...

not that i would ever rest my controller on anything in an intensce(sp) gmae of halo but...it could happen

ok im almost done with my xbox skin and light modifications ill post when im done i think i did a better job than i did with this control but my crackl control with the blue led X is pretty good i think well im going to get a cold cathode.
