I played last night CoD3 on XBOX Live, after my ISP enabled it for XBOX360.
I attached the 360 headphone, I pressed and hold X button and asked "Does anyone hear me ?" Somebody answered "Yeah I hear you" ... I am now no sure i holding the blue "X" button is the right button, or I don't need to hold or press any button to speak ?
I am XBOX n00b, I was a PC gamer though

If you can get on live w/ people you should be able to talk. Same IP address.

Yes I know, I was online with people, but I mean : should I click on any button on my controller to speak, or just any voice comes out of my mouth will be heared from the people in the game, without even clicking on any button on the controller ?

Ok taking it you have the wired headset in which case on the gray plug which you insert into your controller there is a switch on the front. If you push the switch to the right then no sound will be transmitted - to the left everyone can hear every sound you make - burp, fart, cough - you get it!!!

Thanks all.
Ok, ratis gave me the answer.
prezzy, yeah thanks, well the voice can b heared without pushing any button, of course it means any voice then. But to correct you , pushing the switch to the right will transmit the voice and left stops it, if you look at it while it is attached in the controller.
Regrds!
