Hi guys. I am looking for guidance, it's been a while I have done work with the XBOX1.

About 2 years ago my buddy had me install a chip into his XBOX and I remember I upgraded his HD to a larger one then, but the HD was defective or something and blew out on me. I pretty much had the system sitting around for the last 2 years, when I decided to try working with it again. But when I put in a new HD I get an Error code 6, and since it's been a while I can't find his original stock HD anywhere. Any ideas of how I could get rid of this problem? I tried going into the X3's flash bios screen, and selecting unlock HD, but it reboots back to an Error 6 screen.

Thanks.

You have to fit an unlocked drive. If you don't have the key to maych the drive you have now then get an unlocked drive.
